Emerald Lite Terms & Conditions:

Your tuition rate is valid for 12 months and will be auto-billed to the card on file on the first of each month. We don’t believe in locking families into long-term contracts - you can cancel at any time. Of course, we hope you’ll love it here and choose to stay! Many martial arts programs charge additional fees for things like testing or special events, which can add up over time. We believe in keeping things simple and predictable, so families always know what to expect. A one-time annual membership admin fee of $95 is collected upon registration. This fee supports the administrative and behind-the-scenes elements that help create a consistent, high-quality training experience for our students. Your once a week membership is good for one class per week, primarily on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays, based on the correct age and level class. What happens if you miss a class? If you miss a class, you may attend another class as a make-up • From time to time, additional make-up sessions may be offered and announced in advance • You may attend one of our special training clinics as a make-up opportunity. Clinics are instructional sessions focused on specific skills and are separate from social events like holiday parties. Depending on the length of the clinic, it may count as one or more classes. Additional make-up opportunities may be offered throughout the year. PLEASE NOTE: All memberships require an active membership with the Tang Soo Do Seon Do Kwan federation. The first family member's association fee is $40 annually, and each additional family is $25 annually. This fee goes directly to the Seon Do Kwan federation and is not retained by Emerald Hills Karate.

Emerald Core Terms & Conditions:

Emerald Hills Karate: Core Membership Terms & Conditions Membership Plans Emerald memberships are available in three tiers based on the number of students classes allotted per month: Lite: $120/month - 1 class per week (4 total classes per month) Core: $160/month - 2 classes per week (8 total classes per month) Unlimited: $195/month - Unlimited* classes per month The Core plan includes 8 classes per month across any combination of available age-appropriate-level class sessions. Members are entitled to attend any class appropriate for their age and level placement. Class placement is at the discretion of the instructor, who may move students between classes to ensure appropriate level and age grouping. Billing - Monthly tuition is auto-billed to the card on file on the first of each month. A $95 annual membership fee is collected at the time of registration and at each 12-month renewal. Annual fee is subject to change at renewal. Monthly tuition is based on an annual program averaged over 12 months. While most months include 8 classes, some may have fewer or more depending on the calendar. Cancellation We don't believe in locking families into long-term contracts. You may cancel your membership at any time. Cancellation requests must be submitted via email to membership@emeraldhillskarate.com. Cancellations received before the 25th of the month will take effect the following month. Cancellations received on or after the 25th may be subject to one additional billing cycle. Makeup Credits & Class Policy There are no refunds on monthly tuition. If a class is missed, a makeup credit is issued automatically. Makeup credits are valid for 3 months from the week the class was missed. Credits may be used in advance up to one month ahead of the current billing period. If a member uses advance credits and does not renew their membership, each advance class used will be billed at the drop-in rate of $35 per class, unless the total amount exceeds the monthly membership price, in which case the monthly membership price will be billed instead. Additional classes beyond the standard 8 per month are available as a membership benefit at 50% off the drop in rate. Membership Pause Policy - Members may pause their membership for up to 2 months during any 12-month membership period. Pause months may be used consecutively or split as needed. During a pause, the 12-month membership clock stops and resumes upon reactivation. The annual membership fee is not affected by a pause. Pause requests must be submitted via email to membership@emeraldhillskarate.com at least one week before the intended pause date. Requests made with less notice will be accommodated to the best of our ability. Members may attend classes during a pause period at a discounted rate of $25 per class. Sibling Discounts - Additional siblings after the first full-priced student receive a 50% discount off of their monthly tuition. Annual fees are not able to be discounted. If two students in the same family are on differently priced plans, the discounted plan will be the lower priced one. Partial Family Pause - If a family member is enrolled in a plan at a sibling-discounted rate, and one or more students need to pause while the remaining student(s) stay active, the monthly tuition will automatically adjust to reflect the number of actively attending students during the pause period. For example, if two students are enrolled on Core plans and one student pauses for one month, the remaining student will be billed at the full rate of $160 for that month. Upon the pausing student's return, billing will revert to the original total family rate (in this case, 160 for the first student, and 80 for the second.) The annual membership fee is not affected by a partial family pause. Class Cancellations by Emerald Hills Karate In the event of an unexpected class cancellation by Emerald Hills Karate, we will attempt to hold a makeup class on a day we are not typically open. If we are unable to do so, the standard makeup credit policy applies. Notification of unexpected cancellations will be sent via email to the address on file. Scheduled Closures Scheduled closures occasionally occur during normal calendar events including but not limited to holidays, school vacations, and program events such as seminars, clinics, or federation events. We will notify members of scheduled closures at least one month in advance via email to the address on file. When closures affect only a few classes in a given month, we will attempt to hold makeup classes on days we are not typically open. If we are unable to do so, the standard makeup credit policy applies. If our program needs to be closed for more than 25% of a given month, pro-rated membership pricing may be offered at the discretion of the owner. In the event of pro-rated pricing, class allowance for that month will be proportional to the discount applied. For example, if tuition is 25% off for a given month, class allowance would be reduced from 8 to 6 classes. Federation Membership All memberships require an active membership with the Tang Soo Do Seon Do Kwan federation. The annual federation fee is $40 for the first family member and $25 for each additional family member. Federation fees are paid directly to the Seon Do Kwan and are not retained by Emerald Hills Karate. Conduct All members are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with the Tang Soo Do Seon Do Kwan and Emerald Hills Karate codes of conduct. Photo & Media Photo and media use is governed by the Emerald Hills Karate photo and media policy outlined in the Membership Permission & Liability Waiver. *Unlimited memberships are entitled to attend as many age and level appropriate classes as the student would like during the membership month. In the event a student does not make use of at least 10 classes during the membership period due to extenuating circumstances, at the discretion of the instructor, a one-time credit amounting to the difference between the prices of Unlimited and Core may be applied to the next month's tuition. In the event that classes are cancelled by Emerald Hills Karate resulting in fewer than 12 (twelve) classes being offered during that month, partial refunds may be offered of $35, essentially reverting that month's membership of Core for that month, even if the student attended more than 8 classes.
